Compare · PDFShift
Kamy vs PDFShift.
PDFShift — HTML to PDF conversion API. PDFShift and Kamy run the same engine (headless Chromium), so basic conversion is a wash. The differences show up at the edges: Kamy ships hosted templates, brand kits, watermarks, and PDF/A as primitives, and bundles the Noto font families that make Arabic, Hebrew, Indic, and CJK work out of the box — PDFShift leaves all of that to you.

PDFShift's `/v3/convert/pdf` request body lines up almost exactly with Kamy's `/v1/render`: `source` becomes `html`, `format` becomes `options.format`, `margin` is the same shape. The harder lifts are at the edges — anything you've been hand-rolling on top of PDFShift (watermarks, brand kits, tax templates) ships as primitives in Kamy, and any @font-face shipping you've been doing for Arabic, Hebrew, or Indic content goes away because Noto is pre-loaded server-side.
