Terms of Service
Effective April 24, 2026 · Last updated April 24, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you ("you", "Customer") and Kamy ("Kamy", "we", "us") governing your access to and use of Kamy's PDF generation API, dashboard, SDKs, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account, clicking "I agree", or using any part of the Service, you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1.Definitions
- "Customer Content" — templates, HTML, CSS, JSON data, assets, fonts, branding materials, and any other content you submit to or upload through the Service.
- "Output" — PDFs and other files generated by the Service in response to Customer Content.
- "Documentation" — our published guides at kamy.dev/docs and the OpenAPI specification at kamy.dev/api/openapi.json.
- "Plan" — the subscription tier you select (Free, Pro, Team).
- "Order Form" — for Team and custom plans, a separately executed document referencing these Terms.
2.Account registration and eligibility
3.License to use the Service
4.Plans, billing, and taxes
- Free plan: limited to the monthly render quota and feature set listed at kamy.dev/pricing. Free-plan output carries a small watermark, as disclosed at render time.
- Paid plans: billed in advance monthly or annually through Stripe. Fees are quoted in USD and exclude applicable taxes (VAT, GST, sales tax), which we will charge on top where required.
- Overage: on plans that permit overage, usage above the included quota is billed at the per-render rate stated on the pricing page at the time of the render.
- Auto-renewal: paid plans renew automatically at the end of each period unless cancelled before renewal. You can cancel from the dashboard at any time; cancellation stops future renewals but does not refund the current period except where required by law.
- Refunds: we offer a prorated refund within 14 days of the first paid charge if the Service materially fails to work as documented. Beyond that, refunds are at our sole discretion.
- Failed payments: we may suspend paid features if a charge fails and isn't resolved after two retries. Your account stays accessible — you just drop to the free tier limits until billing is restored.
- Price changes: we may change prices on 30 days' email notice. If you disagree, you may cancel before the new pricing takes effect.
5.Acceptable use
- Use the Service to create, host, or distribute content that is illegal, defamatory, infringing, harassing, or fraudulent, or that violates the rights of any person.
- Generate PDFs containing malware, phishing content, spam, CSAM, or material promoting violence, terrorism, or self-harm.
- Circumvent rate limits or quotas, create multiple accounts to evade usage caps, or attempt to access another account.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or scrape the Service except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by law.
- Use the Service to render documents on behalf of sanctioned individuals or entities, or in jurisdictions subject to comprehensive US sanctions.
- Submit data subject to GDPR special categories (health, biometric, etc.) or PCI cardholder data without a separate DPA specifically covering it.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service except under a written security-testing agreement.
We may, with or without notice, suspend or terminate accounts we reasonably believe violate this section, and we will cooperate with law enforcement as legally required.

9.Third-party services
10.Confidentiality
11.Service availability
12.Warranty disclaimer
EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY STATED, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE". TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, KAMY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, TITLE, AND ANY WARRANTIES ARISING FROM COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT GENERATED OUTPUT WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS.
13.Indemnification
By you. You will defend and indemnify Kamy against third-party claims arising from (i) Customer Content, (ii) your breach of these Terms or violation of applicable law, or (iii) your use of the Service in violation of §5 Acceptable Use.
By us. Kamy will defend and indemnify you against third-party claims alleging that the Service, when used as permitted by these Terms, infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, and will pay damages finally awarded by a court or agreed in settlement. This section is Kamy's sole liability and your sole remedy for intellectual-property infringement. Both indemnities require the indemnified party to promptly notify the indemnifier in writing, give sole control of the defence, and reasonably cooperate.
14.Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NEITHER PARTY WILL BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY. KAMY'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY UNDER THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE FEES YOU PAID KAMY IN THE 12 MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM OR (B) USD 100. THESE LIMITATIONS DO NOT APPLY TO FRAUD, GROSS NEGLIGENCE, WILFUL MISCONDUCT, OR LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE LIMITED BY LAW.
15.Term and termination
These Terms take effect when you first use the Service and continue until terminated. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from Dashboard → Settings → Danger zone. We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if you materially breach these Terms, fail to pay, or if continued provision would expose Kamy to legal risk. On termination, your access to the Service ends and Customer Content is deleted per the retention periods in our Privacy Policy. Sections that by their nature should survive (IP, confidentiality, indemnification, limitation of liability, disputes) survive termination.

17.Governing law and disputes
18.Export and sanctions compliance
19.Miscellaneous
- Entire agreement. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and any Order Form form the complete agreement and supersede any prior understanding.
- Severability. If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest remain in effect.
- Waiver. Failure to enforce a right is not a waiver.
- Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent; we may assign to an affiliate or to a successor in a merger or sale.
- Notices. Notices to you are given via the email on your account or posted in the dashboard; notices to us must be sent to [email protected].
- No agency. Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, agency, or employment relationship.
- Force majeure. Neither party is liable for failures caused by events outside its reasonable control.
